The squad.

I started these last night and just finished tonight.

Magnetized Tanks

Awhile back I bought 100 small magnets for like ten bucks,

just for this kinda thing.

Each tank is like forty bucks,

 but you have to chose which kind of tank you build.

So if I magnetize the options I can have both kinds of tanks.

And because each one has its own role on the battlefield,

I need both types.

The Predator for hunting troops and the Annihilator to hunt armor.

The three Predator tanks that got magnetized.

A Predator with autocannon and heavy bolter side sponsons.

A Predator Annihilator,

with a twin linked Lascannon and

 lascannon side sponsons.

It was so simple to do,

 the side lascannons kept on breaking off, so I just cut the little arm off and replaced it with two magnets.

One for the side sponson and one for each weapon,

for a total of six for each tank.

The turret gun just slides in.

So for about twenty cents I saved $120.00.

GOT to LOVE it.

The New Dreadnought

I have been working this past week on a few things and I thought I would be kind and share. 

Not much here, just the Black Reach Dreadnought

with a cool base.

And I have been working on a few others...

so on with the posting fury.

The New Termies Are Done.

I got the new Termies painted and based.

I converted one so he has a flamer.

And one with a cyclone launcher.

And I made the squad leader into a guy with a

 thunder hammer and combat shield. 

Black Reach Squad

I finally finished the Black Reach Squad.
I don't know why it took so long to do, I guess the thought of going through the process of painting them...... stopped me. I got the process down pretty good, and I could whip through pretty quick, Start with all blue, then paint in the black on each one, then the foundation yellow for the gold trim, then foundation gray for the white on each one,then red red red red, gold gold gold gold, white white white, sliver silver silver, .......and on and on it goes.

Six Fragin Grenade Throwers

This past week I finished the last guy for each of my six squads. I made them all with a grenade in their right hand.

That way I may remember that with the new codex everyone has frag and krak grenades.

And 6 Rocket Launchers

I also needed 6 rocket launchers.

These guys were painted with a darker base coat, and then high lighted with the regular color.

More high light on the 3 to the right that the other 3.

I do not think I'll be doing this method again. 

5 melta guys

I have been working on filling out the last of my squads weapon choices.

I finished the five melta guys awhile ago, but had no time to post them.

I just can not believe this!!!! I really wanted dull!

I know it has been a while for posting, the Quad has taken up so much of my time, talking on the phone, being transfered to someone else on the phone, searching on the net for the info we need to make a go or no go call when we found a glitch with the Quad and the city of Atlanta, as Derek likes to put it "drama, it's what makes life not dull".

So to pass the long waits in-between times, I was finishing the last 5 of a squad of 10 assault marines.

So this is the first of the squad I did a while ago.

And this is how the last five turned out.

See that fuzzy white mess all over the guys in the front ?

I ran out of the matte varnish that I use to cover them. It keeps the paint from rubbing off and gives them a nice dull, flat look, that is crisp.

I bought  some more, but this batch is called "purity seal".

Well in my opinion, it's pure s@%$!!!

Now I have to paint them again.

The Librarian

And this what my new Librarian looks like.

Here's a look at the 5 Sergeants

These are my five squad leaders.

I've got one more to go.

I might make him with an ax and a pistol.

The Sergeant is done.

I finished the sergeant.

I added the banner to his back pack and

 put the golden eagle back on .

This is how G.W. painted their sergeant.

I'm in the Armory now!

The Crusader takes it's place in the armory.

40K

40K is one of my hobbies. I like all parts of 40K: building models and painting them, playing the game, reading and re-reading White Dwarf, reading other web sites about it, talking about it. I plan on taking pictures of my models and posting them here, like this one...
